Remember To Vote! (And Vote Against Anti-Gay Judge Jim Johnson)
Hey everyone. We'll have another meeting soon, but in the mean time please remember to vote! You have to get your primary ballot in the mail and postmarked by August 17th!
And here's a hint who to vote against, Jim Johnson who is up for re-election in the supreme court of Washington has said the legislature has "a compelling governmental interest in preserving the institution of marriage, as well as the healthy families and children it promotes."
I'm going to vote for Stan Rumbaugh instead, who actually supports my equality. I hope you do too!

Pat Richardson Didn't Do Her Homework
"We can only spend money for public purposes, and this group as it's been described would not fit that public purpose," says Federal Way City Attorney Pat Richardson.
I hope Pat Richardson realizes that I have never asked for the group to be directly funded. I have only mentioned that the city should spend some of its diversity funding for causes that the group supports, such as AIDS/HIV awareness, which benefits all members of our city.

First social meet-up Sunday, July 25th!
We’re holding out first social meet-up at 6 p.m. Sunday July 25 at the Federal Way Regional Library. We’ll be in Meeting Room One. There will be tasty refreshments! Be sure to get directions online, because there are two libraries in Federal Way! (mapquest it, google it, etc.)
Notes:
Please bring as many gay and lesbian friends as possible! The more people who know about us the more of a difference we can make. If you have business cards bring them for the card exchange bowl, great for networking. I'll hold on to them after the event and bring them to the next one.
